John B Lawley
John and his wife, Ashley, have been married since 2008. They are blessed with four daughters. John was born and raised near Harrisburg, PA. John is the fourth of five children and grew up with two wonderful parents.
John’s testimony- although John attended a CMA church during his childhood and adolescence, he did not truly know and follow Jesus until he turned seventeen. God used a friend's sudden passing to point John towards His Kingdom and his need for Jesus' extended grace. In the middle of all that, in the middle of all those doubts, in the middle of all those intellectual barriers, Jesus rescued John and captivated his heart, and he just immediately fell in love with Jesus. He has passionately desired to learn more about Jesus and follow His will for his life ever since.
John received his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries from Toccoa Falls College. Shortly after graduating, John and Ashley married. John’s first ministry job was as a youth pastor in the Mechanicsburg, PA area. A couple of years later, John accepted a youth pastor position in Chester County, PA. Over the next 12 years, John also served in that church as the Next Generation Pastor and then as an Executive Pastor. John also went back to school and received a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Liberty University. Following the Lord’s timing and leading, in the summer of 2022, John became Lead Pastor of Emmanuel Church.
John’s hope for Emmanuel Church is that we would be a family of believers who seek to restore the brokenness around us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He prays that we would steward the bride of Christ while building His Kingdom.
