OUR MISSION

"GO! MAKE DISCIPLES."

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."

Matthew 28:18-20 (The Great Commission)

Emmanuel Church exists to obey Christ's mandate on a regional scale. The 219 Corridor is our Acts 1:8 assignment.

By the power of the Holy Spirit and fueled by the Gospel of grace, we are called to multiply disciples, raise up leaders, and launch churches through a biblical rhythm of Gather, Grow, and Go, until every community along the 219 Corridor is transformed by Jesus Christ.

THE PATHWAY: GATHER. GROW. GO.

We believe discipleship is not a solo journey. It happens in community, on mission, together.

GATHER.

  • We gather around the Gospel in worship, prayer, and biblical community. We do not gather merely to consume, but to assemble as a unified body, refueled and ready for action.

  • "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together..." Hebrews 10:24-25

GROW.

  • We do not just train individuals; we build crews. We grow together into mature disciples who are rooted in Scripture, dependent on the Spirit, and actively equipping one another for regional impact.

  • "To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ..." Ephesians 4:12

GO.

  • We send healthy, unified crews out into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and towns. We launch teams of people who support one another as they bring the hope of the Gospel to the frontlines of our region.

  • "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses... to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

OUR VISION

"CREWS ON MISSION, SATURATING THE 219."

An Aircraft Carrier Church

The goal of Emmanuel is not to build a bigger deck to keep people safe from the world. The goal is to launch crews into the harvest.

An aircraft carrier cannot operate with solo pilots; it requires highly coordinated, deeply committed flight crews, deck crews, and support crews working in unison. Emmanuel must never become a spiritual cruise ship for passive passengers. We are an aircraft carrier mobilizing active crews to deploy into the region.

Our Regional Target

We want to see a gospel-centered, regional movement that saturates the entire 219 Corridor. From northern suburbs to rural towns, our vision is to see:

  • Every Neighborhood: Blessed by active, localized missional crews.

  • Every School: Impacted by student and family crews living out the Gospel.

  • Every Community: Anchored by healthy, reproducing Gospel-centered churches.

Our prayer is bold but simple: Every single home along the 219 Corridor within reach of a living, breathing, faithful Gospel crew.

CORE BELIEFS

THE WORDWe believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. Acts 1:16; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21

THE TRINITYWe believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Luke 3:22; Matthew 28:19

JESUS CHRISTWe believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-3, 14; Luke 1:34-35

THE RESURRECTIONWe believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life, which is there for us as High Priest and Advocate. Matthew 22:31; Acts 1:9; 1 John 2:1-2

GRACE According to the Scriptures, the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are saved by grace through faith in His shed blood. I Cor 15:1-3; I Peter 2:24; Romans 10:9; 5:9, 10:13; Eph 2:8-9

MANKINDWe believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, that all human beings are born in sin, and that this sinful nature is the origin of all sinful acts in thought, word, and deed. Genesis 1:26-28, 3:1-24; Romans 3:23; 5:12, 6:23; 7:18, 23

HOLY SPIRITWe believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and are eternally secure Children of God. Titus 3:4-7; 1 John 5:11-13

THE RETURNWe believe in “that blessed hope,” the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Acts 1:11; II Thessalonians 2:2; Matthew 24:44

SATANWe believe in the reality and personality of Satan, the archenemy of God and man, and the instigator of sin and death. Satan was defeated at the Cross and will be cast into the lake of fire. Matthew 13: 19-39; John 8:44; 1 John 3:8; Revelation 20:10

ETERNITY - We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost. John 3:16; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15

SIN - We believe that all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are called into a life of separation from worldly and sinful practices and should abstain from such behavior as will cause others to stumble or will bring reproach upon Christ. Romans 12:1-2, 14:13; Eph 4:1-2

ETERNITY - We believe that the Church is composed of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. The Church is the body and bride of Christ. He is the head of the Church. Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-32; 1 Corinthians 12: 12- 31

BAPTISMWe believe the only biblical ordinances of the church are to celebrate baptism, the immersion of a saved person in water, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 2:41

MISSION - We believe that, in evangelizing the world, the supreme mission of the people of God in this age is to take the gospel to every person and to disciple those who believe. Matthew 28: 18-19

COMMUNIONThe church commemorates Christ’s death until he comes by regularly partaking of the bread and cup of communion.1 Corinthians 11:20- 34; Luke 22:14-20; Matthew 26:26- 29
